Elms Barn Wedding Photographer in Norfolk

If you're planning your wedding at Elms Barn, you already have beautiful taste.

Tucked away in the Norfolk countryside, Elms Barn is one of those venues that feels warm, relaxed and effortlessly romantic. It’s the kind of place where laughter carries across the courtyard, fairy lights glow as the sun sets, and every corner offers something gorgeous for photographs.

As a Norfolk wedding photographer who adores natural, emotion-filled celebrations, Elms Barn is such a joy to photograph.

Address - The Elms, Toft Monks, Beccles NR34 0EJ

Why I Love Photographing Weddings at Elms Barn

Elms Barn has that perfect mix of:

  • A beautiful indoor & outdoor ceremony space

  • Characterful barns full of texture

  • Soft countryside light

  • Intimate courtyard areas

  • Cosy, romantic reception vibes

The ceremony barn is full of warmth, and the light that filters through creates the most beautiful atmosphere for emotional moments. It’s the kind of space where I’ll absolutely be tearing up behind my camera during your vows.

Then, once the confetti has flown and the hugs are done, we can sneak off for portraits in the surrounding countryside, and trust me, the golden hour here is dreamy.

Best Photo Spots at Elms Barn

One of the things I always do before every wedding is scout the light. At Elms Barn, there are some absolute gems:

  • Front the house and the bridge

  • Rose garden

  • Orchard out the back

The Marquee

Perfect for natural group photos and relaxed mingling shots. It keeps everything feeling connected and informal. A small walk to the bar or the rose garden, and you are surrounded by the amazing gardens

The Ceremony Barn

Beautiful textures, soft light and emotional moments. I shoot this in a way that keeps it natural and unobtrusive so you can stay completely present.

The Ceremony Outside

In the stunning rose garden surrounded by the amazing garden is a beautiful way to start your married life together. I love the walk; a rose aisle is just stunning.

The Surrounding Countryside

If we get that soft Norfolk sunset glow, we’ll take a quiet walk for some romantic portraits. Nothing stiff or awkward, just the two of you, breathing it all in.

Evening Reception

The barn atmosphere at night is cosy and magical. Fairy lights, first dance energy, and possibly me dancing around the edges while capturing it all.

What Makes Elms Barn Perfect for Relaxed Weddings

Elms Barn is ideal for couples who want:

  • A full day in one location

  • A countryside feel without travelling between venues

  • Indoor and outdoor flexibility

  • A warm, intimate atmosphere

Because everything is on site, the day flows beautifully. That means less stress, more time with your guests, and more natural moments for me to capture.

Outdoor Ceremonies at Elms Barn

If you're planning an outdoor ceremony, the gardens offer such a lovely setting. And if the British weather decides to be… unpredictable (because, Norfolk), the indoor barn option is equally beautiful and cosy.

I always work with the light and layout of the day to make sure your images feel natural and flattering, whatever the weather.

Is Elms Barn Good for Winter Weddings?

Absolutely.

The barn interiors create such a warm, intimate feel during autumn and winter weddings. Candles, fairy lights, and layered textures photograph beautifully. Winter weddings here feel romantic and atmospheric rather than dark or heavy.

Planning Your Elms Barn Wedding Photography

Every wedding at Elms Barn deserves photography that feels:

  • Relaxed

  • Emotional

  • Light-filled

  • Honest

  • Full of connection

I’m not about stiff posing or endless formal shots. I’m about capturing your mum’s expression during your vows. The way your partner looks at you when you’re not noticing. The big belly laughs. The quiet hand squeezes.

And yes… probably dragging you into golden light while I skip backwards like Bambi.
