A wedding is more than just a day. It is a collection of moments, laughter, and shared memories that stretch across time. This three-day wedding celebration in France perfectly captured that spirit. Surrounded by an amazing group of people, every detail from arrival to the final BBQ by the pool was filled with joy, connection, and heartfelt celebration.

Day One: Arrival and Setting the Tone at Château d'Oche

The excitement began early with a flight from Stansted, bringing nearly everyone together in one place. The groom took a different route, driving over in a friend’s camper, adding a touch of adventure to the start. Upon arrival, guests found their rooms tagged with personalised door signs and a welcome bag filled with information about the next few days, and some amazing supplies to help with handovers and sugar lows

After settling in, the day unfolded with a chance to explore the stunning venue. One highlight was flying a drone to capture the breathtaking surroundings from above, offering a fresh perspective on the beautiful French countryside.

As the afternoon turned to evening, everyone changed into their team colours, black for the groom’s team and white for the bride’s team. This playful touch set the stage for friendly competition and camaraderie. Drinks flowed alongside a grazing table filled with delicious bites, creating a relaxed atmosphere perfect for reconnecting and making new friends.

The night ended early for me, who prepared for the big day ahead.

Wedding Day: A Celebration Filled with Love and Local Charm at Château d'Oche

The wedding day itself began with waking up in the beautiful Château d'Oche with a calm, joyful energy. Close friends and trusted suppliers gathered to help bring the couple’s vision to life. Meeting local vendors was a highlight, especially the florists who stayed throughout the day to keep the arrangements fresh and stunning.

The venue, a beautiful chateau, provided an elegant backdrop for the ceremony and reception. The couple’s choice of attire reflected their style perfectly: the bride wore a dress from Pure Brides, while the groom looked sharp in a suit from Pure Suit. Hair and makeup were expertly handled by Eleonora Faure and Skin23 MUA, ensuring everyone looked their best.

Music played a central role in the celebration. The DJ, Mixology Sax DJ, kept the energy high with a mix of tunes that had everyone dancing. The day flowed seamlessly from heartfelt vows to lively dancing, culminating in a fun karaoke session and the unique addition of kabas, a playful way to end the night.

The catering by The Lime Catering impressed with fresh, flavorful dishes that complemented the outdoor setting. Every detail, from flowers by My Flower Tales and Les Fleurs Dans to the celebrant Jaine Briscoe-Price’s warm words, contributed to an unforgettable experience.

Day Three: Relaxing and Reflecting by the Château d'Oche Pool

After the excitement of the wedding day, the final day was all about relaxation and enjoyment. The group gathered by the pool for a sunny BBQ, creating a laid-back atmosphere perfect for unwinding.

Kids took centre stage with a DJ set designed just for them, while adults enjoyed conversations filled with smiles and laughter. The addition of a slip and slide brought out the playful side in everyone, reminding all that weddings are as much about fun as they are about tradition.

This day allowed guests to soak in the beauty of the venue one last time and celebrate the newlyweds in a casual, joyful way.

Key Takeaways for Planning a Multi-Day Wedding Celebration

  • Local suppliers add authenticity: Working with florists, caterers, and entertainers from the area enriches the experience and supports the community.

  • Balance activity with downtime: Mixing energetic events with relaxed moments helps guests enjoy every part of the celebration.

  • Capture memories creatively: Using drones or unique photography angles offers fresh perspectives on the venue and festivities.

  • Include all ages: Activities for kids and adults ensure everyone feels included and entertained.

This three-day wedding in France was a perfect example of how thoughtful planning and a wonderful group of people can turn a wedding into a lasting memory. Whether you are planning your own celebration or simply love wedding stories, this event shows how meaningful moments come from connection, joy, and shared experiences.

Celebrate your special day with those you love, and make every moment count.
