Wedding day in Essex with Jen and Sam

I met Jen and Sam in April 2019 at the Dunston Hall wedding show. We chatted for ages and hit it off right away. Yep, you guessed it, they had to move their wedding twice! that damn 'C' word! But in the meantime, they have had a beautiful little girl and started renovating and extending their family home.

A little about Jen and Sam, they meet 10 years ago at young farmers. Sam proposed to Jen whilst they were on holiday in Alcudia, Spain. They picked their wedding venue to be at their family home something they had always wanted. Sam and Jen said their biggest challenge when planning their wedding day was Covid ( I think a lot of people would agree with that) Their top tip for anyone getting married would be to Try to enjoy the whole process together & not get stressed.

The wedding day has arrived and what an emotional day. I am overwhelmed by the support and love these two have and the great family and friends network around them. I took a second shooter with me for this wedding. Matt and I arrive at their home on the Suffolk border bright and early with such a warm welcome. Tea?, YES! please!

Matt headed over to the reception in Essex (Sam's family home) to capture the boys getting ready. Whilst I stayed with Jen and the girls. Looking out the living room window you could see the top of the church in the trees and could see this little village had such a warm feeling about it.

The wedding morning always goes so quick! I can't stress enough to all you couples out there how quick the whole day goes. The girls were so great, helping out loads and so many laughs. Jen had done food for everyone so much! Such a good hostess.

The next thing I can hear was a tractor starting up outside and the girls shout out "Jen, don't look outside" Sam had arrived to pick the tractor up and take it to collect his groom's men. His smile was from ear to ear.

Now the fun starts I knew we didn't have long and the car would be arriving along with Jen's Dad and we would be making our way to the Church to start the celebrations.

Once the bridesmaids had left for the church it was time for Jen and Dad to check everything and have their moment together. Not long and the car returned and we were off! What a Beautiful village church, everyone waiting inside and the bridesmaid waiting outside - here we go!

Service was lovely we also did a minutes silence for the Queen - RIP

Confetti was everywhere and a few groups before everyone headed back to the reception, yep the heavens opened and it rained so hard we hide in the church for a few minutes before heading off ourselves.

The day was beautiful and I must have cried about 4 times, just to see the love this family have for each other was amazing. Also to finally see them get married and say I do!

VIP time - oh I do love a bit of banter and seeing the couple's closest family and friends having a laugh together!

We took Jen and Sam off with the wedding VIPS (Bridesmaids and groomsmen) to have some fun I will let the photos tell the story because I can not repeat the stuff they were saying. I laughed so much!

This leaves me to say a massive thank you to Jen and Sam for asking me to capture your special wedding day and also a thank you to all your family and friends for making us feel so welcome.
