Second shooting with AJ Feather Photography
Second shooting guide
I’m so excited to have you as my second shooter for the day! Having a second photographer is such an important part of giving my couples extra support and creating an even bigger, better experience for them.
To make things super smooth and clear, I’ve put together a Second Shooter Guide. This includes how I work, what I’ll need from you on the day, and some tips so we can work seamlessly together. Remember, we’re a team – just like we are with the other suppliers – so if there’s anything you can’t do or have questions about, just let me know.
This year I’m focusing on elevating my couples’ experience, and that means adding a few extra touches – which is where you come in! Here are the main things I’ll need from you on the day:
✅ BTS Content
-
I’ll need at least 5 short clips (4–5 seconds each) from your prep morning to use in the couple’s highlight reel.
-
Please capture some behind-the-scenes videos from your point of view during the day as well.
-
I’ll also need some BTS footage of me working, and I’ll do the same for you. We’re in this together!
✅ Guest Coverage
Your main focus for the day will be capturing the guests – candids, natural moments, and portraits. Make it fun and varied. You’ll find some examples in the guide for inspiration. A great way to get all guests is when they are being seated for the wedding breakfast. Make it your thing to go around every table and get 1 portrait of everyone at that table, then more to the next table.
